The First Annual Milledgeville Film Festival is three days of movie magic in heart of Downtown Milledgeville. This will be a weekend you won’t want to miss!
Friday evening begins with a red carpet gala held in historic Magnolia ballroom. This event is a sit-down dinner with a keynote address from Stevie Lynn Jones, star of NBC’s “Crisis”. Following the gala we will kick off our screenings with the East Coast premiere of the AFI film “Young Americans” and a Q&A with writer/director Kevin Lacy, Cinematographer Kristin Fieldhouse, and Lead Actress Stevie Lynn Jones.
Saturday morning will start off with intimate workshops with some of the industry’s veteran directors, producers, casting directors, agents, and actors. The afternoon will be filled with short and feature films from around the world. In the evening, the Oconee River greenway will be hosting a community screening of the hit film Spectacular Now projected onto a three story blow up screen!
Sunday will consist of a mid-morning filmmakers brunch hosted at Andalusia, followed by more screenings. The festival will close with an awards ceremony followed by a screening of the documentary “Blood Brother”.
